Statement

I am currently exploring my creative process in response to my surroundings and memory. I use Automatism to draw my compositions, I allow my subconscious to take charge, everyday objects attached to memories make their way into my paintings, giving them a new identity and symbolism, adding to a continuously developing visual coded language. This process often results in surreal, nightmare or dream-like happenings and imagery. The drawings are then painted with a focus on accessing mood via mark making and colour. 

I am currently doing most of my visual research on the coast of Hastings and St. Leonards on Sea.
